No Room For Error – Psalm 139:14

No Room For Error – Psalm 139:14

"I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well." – Psalm 139:14 ESV

This past week, I had the opportunity to visit Phoenix, Arizona, as a 2:20 Vision vendor for a conference. While the business side of the trip went well, what truly stood out to me was the final day, when I had the chance to do some sightseeing. Although we didn’t have time to see the Grand Canyon, we visited the stunning natural sculptures at Red Rock State Park. On the drive there, the breathtaking views of the mountains, cacti, and even monsoon clouds left me in awe. It was a sight I’ll never forget.

As I took it all in, one thought kept echoing in my mind: Our God is an amazing artist. Yet, I couldn’t help but realize how often I fail to see that same artistry in myself. I look in the mirror and see flaws, sin, and imperfections—and I wonder, Could the same God who shaped mountains and valleys by hand really have created me too?

But the truth is profound: if God spent more time crafting humanity than any other part of creation—and even sacrificed His Son to redeem us—then our worth must be immeasurable. This worth isn’t based on anything we’ve done; it’s rooted in the reality that we are fearfully and wonderfully made by the Creator of the universe. And how easily we overlook this.

This verse emphasizes the fact that God did not create us off of impulse or from random happenings, but our creation was intentional, intimate, and impactful.

  • Intentional, because Gos carefully designed us in His image and had plans for us before we were even born (Jeremiah 29:11)
  • Intimate, because we were created for relationship with Him–to know Him and be known by Him. He formed us out of love and delight, not out of need.
  • Impactful, because our lives were designed to leave a mark for His glory and to reflect His light in the world (John 15:5).

You are not here by accident. God created you beautifully and intentionally in His image. He desires an intimate relationship with each of us—not for His gain, but for our good.

This week, take time to remember the beauty God placed within you long before you even knew yourself. Not the shifting standard of beauty defined by the world, but the unchanging truth of what God says about you. Don't let your external affect how you view the internal. Rather, let your internal impact how you move and carry yourself externally for others to see and for God to be glorified (Matthew 5:16).

With God, there is no room for error. Live fully in the beauty He designed you with from the very beginning. This week, step into a lifestyle where faith meets purpose. Where your identity isn’t defined by the world but by the One who created it.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being the perfect Creator, the Master Artist who formed the heavens, the earth, and even me with such care and intention. Forgive me for the times I’ve doubted my worth or overlooked the beauty You’ve placed within me. Help me to see myself through Your eyes—as fearfully and wonderfully made, crafted with love and for a divine purpose. Teach me to walk confidently in the truth of who You are and who You’ve created me to be. May my life reflect Your light and glorify You in every way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
