PERFORM WITH PURPOSE
2:20 Vision is a Christian athletic wear brand that aims to elevate, empower, and inspire athletes to put their full identity in Christ and perform with purpose.
The name is a play on “20/20 vision,” symbolizing perfect sight. But our 2:20 comes from Galatians 2:20 — living a new life in Christ, crucifying the flesh. That is true spiritual eyesight.
"I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." – Galatians 2:20 ESV
The Three Pillars
To elevate is to raise an athlete's standard of play and perspective. It’s about moving from "good" to "great" by refining skills, mindset, and spiritual maturity.
Empowerment is about giving athletes the tools, confidence, and authority to take ownership of their journey. We don't just lead them; we equip them to lead themselves and others.
Inspiration is the spark that sustains the grind. It’s about connecting an athlete’s "why" to a higher purpose, ensuring their motivation is fueled by something deeper than just a trophy.
In 2023, owner Kendall Petteway began to grow a deeper desire to do ministry through sports. After serving at Baylor's Faith & Sports Institute Camp, and then launching a small sports camp through his home church in Dallas, he began to feel a tug towards sports ministry.
Galatians 2:20 being his favorite verse, he wanted to create a title that represented the verse's meaning, was catchy, and that could have an easily recognizable logo. This gave birth to the beginning of 2:20 Vision.
After going deeper in prayer, Kendall felt led to utilize the brand for Christian athletic apparel and fashion (which he knew nothing about). So in the Spring of 2024 was the Grand Opening; yet, the brand had no official website, certification, or catalog so this led to a major fail of 2:20's first launch with a total zero sales.
After this, Kendall spent way more time researching and understanding what it actually meant to run an apparel business. From building the first website to then becoming an officially licensed LLC through the Baylor School of Innovation and the help of the Baylor Law School!
This led to a huge shift in the 2:20 business model as well as the overall branding as 2:20 Vision was now an established business.
After solidifying the products for sale, and learning how to create clothing designs and bring them to life from scratch, Kendall announced that 2:20 would be re-opening its doors on 02/20/2025! This would serve not only as an opportunity to showcase new products, but also to show just how much God had been at work through the brand.
Opening day was a massive success by the grace of God! From here, 2:20 began to build connections with athletes for devotionals and testimonies, secure a contract to sell merchandise at Baylor University temporarily, and many more products began to hit the online store. What was thought to be a lost cause ended up being turned into a vision of victory only because of prayer, consistency, and God's grace.
